Slated for 2024, Artemis II will carry four astronauts on a round trip to the Moon. NASA and the Canadian Space Agency will announce the fortunate celestial voyagers on April 3, 2023.

Subsequently, in 2025, Artemis III is scheduled to launch, marking the first lunar touchdown since 1972. Astronauts will scrutinize the south pole, amass lunar artifacts, and engage in scientific endeavors – including the pioneering woman and first individual of color to set foot on the Moon.

The Grand Scheme: Moon Base and Beyond

All these celestial escapades serve as stepping stones toward the establishment of a permanent Moon base, the Lunar Gateway station, and eventually, the inaugural human expedition to Mars.
